Yarn Along ~ Parenting and pink

Joining Ginny over at Small Things for Yarn Along:
"~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? ... ~"

I want to do more felting!! I had so much fun felting for the first time last week, that I decided to get some more wonderful wool and do it again. This time I am going to crochet a simple shoulder bag using 2 strands at a time for thickness.  I hope to finish soon as there is some knitting to be done! Is everyone else loving Yarn Along like I am???

Many might already be familiar with Naomi Aldort's book Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves.  I've had it for awhile and wasn't sure if I wanted to do another parenting book (you know, because I have all down pat <wink>). But so many have recommended it and I think I even saw it last week on someone else's yarn along? So here we go, parenting and pink, not a bad combination :).

  3. You crochet! I'm learning and I love it, but I'm teaching myself. I find the stitches easy to learn, but reading the patterns? that's another story. : )

  5. I'm adoring the Yarn Along! Makes my Wednesday every single time.
I'm intrigued by the shoulder bag, can't wait to see how it develops. I've a thing apparently for bags and it's occurred to me that bags might be perfect for fiber fun in Florida in the heat of the year. ;)

  9. I have that book and have been meaning to read it for a long time... I haven't felted anything in a while and since I last felted, I got a front loader washing machine. From what I have heard, it doesn't work with those...

  11. I love the colors in those circles! I only once felted the french press slippers..they didn't last too long, so I wonder if all felted things are less sturdy then non-felted things. Anyways, can't wait to see what it looks like. Love the hearts mobile below.
