Girls: 8.4.11

"It's about a girl who is on the cusp of becoming someone.. A girl who may not know what she wants right now, and she may not know who she is right now, but who deserves the chance to find out."

~ Jodi Piccoult (My Sister's Keeper)

p.s. more about the iphone tomorrow, for joy pockets (hint)

  1. I love little feet, and imagining where the feet will lead them someday.

    Cute photo!

  2. Love this shot! Did the ground hurt your knees?

  3. Oh those little feet with go far. Interesting perspective! I love Jodi Piccoult's books. I think I've read My Sister's Keeper but it was years ago and I can't quite remember. Isn't that terrible?

  4. I can't bring myself to read Jodi Piccoult, though I've heard her books are amazing and I have a few on my shelves that were gifted to me. I love this shot. Their little toes and sandals. :)

  5. What a fabulous quote! I hope you're enjoying your August break. I have my figures crossed for good iphone news :-)

  6. that's a greeting card, for sure.
Well, thanks to your inspiration I'm now an August Breaker.

  7. Great quote.
    What are they up to?

  8. MJ- I stopped in at the Visitor center in historic Roswell & picked up a local map and talked with the lady- it lead us down a street to the old mill & then we followed the creek to the waterfall- little visitor centers can be a great resource (and their web sites) we once ended up in the middle of the country in an old barn (with pasture and cows) where the whole little town of Blue Ridge gathers to play/ listen to music- I taught the boys how to dance (mountain style) and they played me some blue grass! the sign over the door read "no short shorts and no tank tops" - you just never know what you'll come across! :)
