We arrived in Paris yesterday around 10:30 am, met my MIL and her friend at the airport and were driven to a small town outside of Paris called Orléans. The flight was smooth but exhausting as sleeping upright is never a skill I plan to be good at, neither my children. We were all walking zombies but managed to go to a nearby park, the same park Hubs use to play in as a child.
We will stay in this adorable apartment with balcony spaces on two sides for two weeks. We have eaten a French déjeuner with fromage, baguette, tomate and jambon, as well as a petit déjeuner with croissant, pain au chocolat, pain aux raisins, choupettes, and baguette. Are you salivating yet? I can't seem to stop!! We leave for a boat tour called Les Passeurs de Loire soon, so more pics are on their way!
Au revoir mes amis!
A demain!

ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the lovely package from your blog giveaway. Camille and I have been spinning up a storm with the roving and drop spindle. (There's some pics on my latest blog post of the yarn that she's been twisting up.)
Au revoir!
Oh my, that food looks divine. I showed Tenneille your photos. She is now asking for a holiday in France. I've told her one day (hopefully sooner rather than later). That's the drawback of living in Australia, every desitination is at least a 14 to 24 hours flight away, ho hum. Enjoy your time, and the food! Oh, I have salavated so much, I think I have broken my laptop :)) Jacinta x
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! After a summer travelling around Europe I must have gained 15 lbs from all the bread, cheese and sweets. Didn't care one bit. Enjoy those savory bites and all the other gifts of France!

Thank you so much for your heartfelt words on my post about being a mama to a lovely and sensitive little miss. It really meant a lot. This parenting stuff is hard and I'm glad for a community like this where I've found you xox. Have such a wonderful time in Paris.
