I could have kicked myself for forgetting my polaroids and my camera on this day. But I do admit that I am pretty happy with what my phone captured, with the help of Instagram of course :).
This beautiful place is only about 30 miles from home. It's elevation is over 10,000 feet and the air is probably the purest I have ever breathed. If you were to ever visit me in Boulder, this is where I would take you. Just the visuals alone will remain with you for days...

Sometimes it's nice to not have a big camera to lug around. Glad you were able to capture your adventures!!
ReplyDeleteThose are some amazing visuals-what a magical place! Glad you had your phone. I feel naked without my camera or like my arm is missing. However, sometimes it's good not to have it. You did a beautiful job with your phone.

Breathtaking, MJ. I'm so glad you moved to Boulder - it's so nice to see these places again through a fresh lens, and a reminder of all the places I haven't been to in way too long. Which also brings up that perhaps one day this early fall we can meet in person over a cup of coffee at The Boulder Bookstore. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea Katie :)!
Deletewow! so gorgeous MJ! Every time I see pictures I catch myself saying "we really need to go to Colorado" to the hubs.
ReplyDeleteStunning!
ReplyDeletedefinitely want to visit you!
ReplyDeleteNow I must get there, I'll bring the food okay? :)

Amanda, Tracey and Cory--let's do it!!
Deletestunning greenery, you all must have recharged to no end.
ReplyDeleteand what fab shots, is that canoe one a phone shot + instagram?!
Yes! Instagram and iphone on all counts!
DeleteI'm so ready to emigrate!! It looks absolutely amazing. there is nothing in the landscape round here that gives you that sense of awe at the scale of it. Cornwall is so small in comparison, it certainly has its own beauty but I long to see mountains and lakes and endless forests...I can't wait to explore around America! x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is all I can say... :)

ReplyDeleteOh my, how amazing are those photos. Jacinta
ReplyDeleteit's kinda sad, but I have to admit I've only ever been up there in the winter... snowshoeing. I have recently decided to look at my home from the perspective of a visitor... time to fill my itinerary!
ReplyDeleteNext week, Brainard Lake
Wow -- simply gorgeous! And it seems the photos even capture the pureness of the air!
ReplyDeleteThis is so stunning.....beautiful and expansive!
