8 trips

She turned 8 yesterday, and dressed completely in her favorite color, she began her next turn around the sun. With three birthday songs, one mint chocolate birthday cake, and a firepit surrounded by several friends (with s'mores smeared faces), I'd say she's off to a good start.

Motherhood has gifted me well with my two darling babes. It was only recently though that I experienced a vibrant flashback  that took me to my own memories of being a young daughter. I wrote a piece about this flashback for  Kindred Magazine and it's online today. Hope you come take a peek...

Today is your birthday, and I am stunned at how fast we have traveled these last seven circles around the sun together. You came into this world just as you have lived it, on your own terms and in your own time.
