December Daybook

I loved Amanda's daybook, and decided to do my own. If you want to join in, see where it started here.

Today, outside my window the morning is misty and gray. When I stepped out for a moment and breathed in, the air smelled like wet leaves and left a cool drizzle on my skin.

I am thinking about our move, and how in the world I'm going to pack up all of our things.

I am thankful for the time shared with family yesterday, and all the happiness on their faces.

In the kitchen the aroma of espresso fills the room, while the hum of the refrigerator fills the quiet.

I am wearing old, baby blue pajama shorts and a white, long-sleeve shirt that reads "I'm addicted to group fitness".

I am creating a movie star scarf, which I am renaming to Florida scarf, since style trumps the need for warmth.

I am going to clean this morning, excited for friends from Chicago to arrive tomorrow.

I am wondering what it will be like living in Colorado, knowing it's in the 20's there now, and 70's here in FL.

I am reading Hold Onto Your Kids and am excited to add A Dog's Purpose today (A-mazing reviews).

I am hoping that I will eat better today, after all the cheeses, olives, pate, chocolates, wine, whiskey eggnog, cake and custard I had yesterday (a delicious dairy and yeast nightmare).

I am looking forward to walking the old streets of St. Augustine again later this week, this time with my hubs and babes.

I am hearing the clicking and the snapping of boy who just woke up and went straight to building his new Lego.

Around the house, there are opened gifts and wrapping scattered everywhere, leftover reminders of a spirited day.

I am pondering about finding time to use Holga, now sitting under the tree.

One of my favorite things is having my husband home all week, and sneaking some time alone with him.

A few plans for the rest of the week include seeing old friends, watching new movies, filling the house with boxes, a mini road trip, knitting, reading, and photography :).

A picture for thought...

Here here to the last week of 2011!! I hope the joy continues for all of you...

xoxo
