She turned 8 yesterday, and dressed completely in her favorite color, she began her next turn around the sun. With three birthday songs, one mint chocolate birthday cake, and a firepit surrounded by several friends (with s'mores smeared faces), I'd say she's off to a good start.

Motherhood has gifted me well with my two darling babes. It was only recently though that I experienced a vibrant flashback  that took me to my own memories of being a young daughter. I wrote a piece about this flashback for  Kindred Magazine and it's online today. Hope you come take a peek...
