It's happening all around us up here in VA. We are basking in its orange glow. I have never underestimated autumn's power to reinforce change and renewal, but I never considered how it's lack may affect me just the same. Having lived without autumn's colors and change for 27 years, I am learning lessons all over again.
John Muir said it best:
"Keep close to Nature's heart...and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean."
