I don't think I have seen a ringed snake before. We have had quite a few snakes lately; I think they are looking for water. I just wish some of the ones I see weren't poisonous. MJ, I hope you have a great weekend.
Siri- Oh goodness no. Though this little guy is not poisonous, I read that they do give off a horrible odor when scared. He was harmless, but I did have to keep the kids from picking him up!!
Eek. Thats a surprise! I am loving your cooling header picture up there!! It looks like a fun place to visit. We have a local park that has a water play area kinda similar, but it is always pretty packed on hot days when we'd like to go the most.
Great capture! I can definitely see how the little guy would have been tempting for your two to pick up. I hope the weekend is just as exciting as this moment for you all! xoxo
How do you happen to capture these amazing moments?! LOVE this picture. I come from a long line of photographers (not that you would know by looking at my pictures...lol) and you definitely have an amazing eye!!
we love snakes, especially sweet baby ring necks. we would have played with him for awhile before letting him go. i have come to enjoy snakes because of my reptile loving son (why unschooling/homeschooling is so awesome - I have learned more in the last decade...)
thanks for the visit! i am so glad to meet another florida unschooling mom!
your blog looks great, i subscribed and look forward to reading through it!

ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you MJ!
Love those sweet toes. What a beautiful snake - although I'd prefer to not have him as a swimming partner! xo R

Oh my goodness. Wish I could say I was a snake friend, but for some reason I'm totally freaked out by them. Great picture, though - slithery toes!
