Bugs are cool, but not when they land on my leg, and not when they are big, black horse flies that are known to fly at people and bite looking for a blood meal. And definitely not when I just stepped out of the pool to check my email messages with my handy and oh so dandy iphone. You all know how much I love and use my iphone.
Fight or flight. The problem with it is that there is no time to think before you jump. I jumped. In the pool. With my iphone. Because of a black horse fly on my leg :(.
This photo was the last one I took before my iphone went for a swim. Coincidence?!! I think not.
We go visit the iphone doctor today to see if she can be recovered. Meanwhile a pumpkin spice cake sounds mighty good right now, don't you think?
xx oo
Well, ptuii!!!!! Hope *she* can be revived! Perfect sign!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Did you put your iphone in a cup of dry rice? It really has helped a couple of my friends whose iphones have taken unexpected dips.
ReplyDeleteHope it gets fixed!
what a great sign! :)
ReplyDelete& i'm sorry to hear about the phone. i hope it can be saved.
Agh horseflies. They love my youngest son. Boy do they hurt. Sorry about your phone. I hope she can be resurrected. Fingers crossed for you!
ReplyDeletei am such a believer in paying attention to the signs the universe sends us. this just made me smile & nod, although i am sorry for the phone and hoping the dr. has good news.
ReplyDeleteterrific post!
That is awful! A teensy tiny bit funny but also, terribly, terribly awful. Let's hope the doctor has good news. I've heard of the rice bowl trick, too.
ReplyDeleteDang flies!! I'm so sorry, MJ, but I had to chuckle. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo. Hope the doctor is able to revive her.
Yes! Horse flies hurt! Sorry about your phone, but I love that sign and it does seem like an auspicious coincidence...
ReplyDeletenooooooo!!!! i've never heard of these horse flies. yikes! what a bummer about your phone. did you at least not get bit?
ReplyDeleteNo! No bite!! I unfortunately made sure of that :).
ReplyDeleteoops. lol
ReplyDeletei've always liked this stressed phrase, too.
fingers crossed for the iphone.
oh no... I heard iphones can recover from unvoluntary swims. good luck :)
ReplyDeleteAh! Those horseflies are nasty and deserved the dip...hope the phone recovers!
ReplyDeleteLove that wonderful sign!
Oh no! I do hope they can fix it. I don't carry a phone, but everyone else in my family does and they would be lost without theirs.xx
ReplyDeleteYipes! That's how I feel about mosquitoes. I do hope your iphone can be cured! But what a great sign...
ReplyDeletehope everything is going to be ok both with you and your iphone : )
ReplyDeletedessert- could use some :)
ReplyDeletehad to laugh. sorry about the iphone, but I love the picture of you jumping in the pool with it.
ReplyDeleteXO
How does it feel to be without the phone? Is it liberating?
ReplyDeleteHow did you react when it happened? Just curious.
I have dropped twice now a whole glass of water onto our laptop. Once it recovered and once it had to be replaced.
I also don't like horseflies.
oh no....ipone in the pool....not good !
ReplyDeletei hope they can fix it, because nobody can live without their smart phones....well maybe someone can, but i can't !
thanks for stopping by and offering support to me....it means so much !
I would have done exactly the same - a horsefly? Ughh. Yes, cake sounds good. Go Go!
ReplyDeleteI hope your iphone can be brought back to life. I have never encountered a horse fiy, but here in Australia, bugs don't do things in halves, so I can imagine what they must be like. As for desserts, they can fix anything, right? I made a really yummy raspberry and dark chocolate cake yesterday and I can tell you it made everything right in my world again! As for a pumpkin spice cake, well that sounds delicious. Jacinta
ReplyDeletegood luck! that would be a sad day for me!
ReplyDeleteDang good! And that is a nasty fear. I won't tread near the washroom with mine in hand. It's just too handy dandy! : )
ReplyDeletenever realized!
ReplyDeleteif something happened to my iphone i'd eat an entire cake while i cried my eyes out.
ReplyDeleteWell you know now that your "flight" response includes holding tightly onto that little phone you love! (I totally understand, I love mine too!)
ReplyDeleteOh hoping for a full recovery...
