“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.”

ReplyDeleteGreat great quote! And it helps give me perspective on something my boss told me once. He called me water and told me not to worry about succeeding in my career. I guess he is a Bruce Lee fan... who would have known.
ReplyDeletelove this!
ReplyDeleteI love this quote! It stood out to me when I watched "Dragon". I love the concept. It's a hard thing to to but really important. Wonderful photos, MJ. Thanks for the shoutout!! :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and such beauty after the dual spectrum joy of a contract/worry of an ER visit. What great advice the water quote is. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo, MJ. Have no idea how you did it -- but that's part of the charm. :)

ReplyDeleteWOW. Girl, you are getting goood with that camera. How did you get those underwater shots? A protector for your camera, or...?
ReplyDeleteloooooove it
ReplyDeleteBeatuiful underwater capture! I love how you paired the quote with the gorgeous photo. Great job!
ReplyDeleteokay okay I'll tell you :), it was a cheapo disposable underwater camera!! fujifilm underwater quicksnap ;). It was so much fun and the kids had a great time using it too ;). A few difficulties--holding breath while snapping is hard, viewfinder is teeeny tiny, and wearing goggles while looking through viewfinder is ridiculously tough. But try it!! So fun!!
ReplyDeleteGotta love the underwater camera for a little fun with the kiddos! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteI am breathless, speechless. ~this is so stunning~
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a book I read recently called "living as a river" by bodhipaksa. Have you read it?
