Feel
Sometimes we have reason to talk less and feel more, and running away with our emotions feels good. Passion and creativity can lie in these spaces and drowning in feeling is like swimming with a deeper part of ourselves. I can stay here for a little while, and know I have taken a lovely excursion without going anywhere but within. Yet, coming up to breathe is essential and reminds us that above the surface is where life takes meaning. It is where we paint the canvas to explain where we have been and where we wish to go. This is our duality, our yin and our yang, our permission to fall behind, as well as our permission to shine...make no excuses. You are just as beautiful in the dark cold depths as well as in the warmth of the yellow sun.
"There can be no transforming of darkness into light and of apathy into movement without emotion."
-Carl G Jung

ReplyDeletethat yarn! how delicious.
I like you more and more each day! :) the yarn is to die for- I've managed to teach myself one stitch in crochet - and I just repeat it over and over until I decide what I'm making. Started on a shawl a few months ago that became the cutest little bag! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your thoughts - your writing is beautiful!

ReplyDelete"You are just as beautiful in the dark cold depths as well as in the warmth of the yellow sun." - Such a wonderfully beautiful line! I want to remind myself of this more often.

I have to agree with Tiny Particles of Light - that line is so beautiful, and just what I needed to hear (or read).
ReplyDeleteI really wish I knew how to knit - that yarn is amazing!
I spy a Manekineko! This is so timely as i've been on an emotional vacation and feeling a bit guilty about it. You are so right though, we need both the ying and yang. How did you get so wise, lady?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just beautiful. I too, wish I could knit. My mom has tried to teach me numerous times...just can't get the hang of it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I popped in tonight. Beautiful words, beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteSuper quote and am drooling over your yarn! :)

You are both inspiring and quotable, my friend. This speaks to me so much right now, not that the depths I'm in are dark by any means, but they're quite deep and I needed a reminder to just embrace them and swim. :)
ReplyDeleteI am "feeling" your feel shots MJ. Oh yeah I'm feeling it.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Leah
