RockyGrass

Three days of camping, bluegrass music all day and night, families
playing on the beach, tubing in the river, dancing, hooping, making music and living merry...

It was hot, so when a breeze would gallop in with the spotty rain showers, we laid our heads back and smiled. We have never experienced festival camping before. I didn't realize sleep usually is not on the festival agenda, though we caught a little shut eye here and there. Long after the main pavilion closed for the evening, music played on into the wee morning hours. Banjo, bass, fiddle, guitar and mandolin from each direction, conspired with smooth voices to serenade the trees and the stars. I should have been annoyed from the lack of sleep, but the music was so good, just as good as any legend that played the stage, so instead I found myself marveling.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend, too.

xoxo

  9. So glad you all got to experience my all time fav CO festival! Oh course you did, you've jumped full body into this Boulder experience it seems. I didn't make it this year, but I've worn those three days wrist bands and played in that creek more times than I can count at this point. Love it up!
