Odds and ends

Thanks for the great words of encouragement on my last post. You all are the best :). Groovy is back and I think you were a part of that :).

Do you love my granny square mitts? ME, TOO!! And no, sadly, I did not crochet them. Believe me if I did, you would be the first to know :). Could I have made them? Probably, but I said to hell with it and bought them instead :).  Sometimes saying "yes" to instant gratification is just what I need.

The sky has been absolutely mesmerizing since we've been back. The clouds carry a mystery all their own and all I want is to sit, watch and listen, while the sinking sun splashes paint over them. Even dusk has a story all it's own, a dark and eery one set against the bare bones of trees.

The Santa mugs are out and ready to do their duty. The tree is up, the lights and decorations around the house are strung, and the Christmas music has been unleashed. All I want for Christmas is to NOT have to hear the Chipmunks' carols.  They drive me bonkers.

much love and holiday cheer!!

xoxo

  4. Amazing skies and amazing gloves - yes, sometimes it's good to give in to instant gratification (especially where chocolate is involved). Glad you've got your groove back and are feeling better. The christmas tree will have to wait until christmas eve, but I'm looking forward to putting up decorations this weekend. Love from London xo

  5. I'm glad you're feeling back to sorts - sometimes it takes me a day or two to get back into the groove of life after we've been away somewhere.

    Love those gloves!

  7. Ha! My house would be your worst nightmare these days. My mom keeps buying the little ones Alvin and the Chipmunks dvd's. The Christmas one is the most popular around here. ;) Seriously, these sunsets we've been having are gorgeous. Tonight's was mesmerizing.

  11. Great photos. Your Colorado skies are stunning. It is amazing how sometimes "all seems right with the world" and then BaM! serious funk, over-whelmed, running late, can't catch a breath, the ground disappears. Here's hoping you stay on a healthy and blessed and positive track during the Christmas season: nothing has the potential to be awesome or be depressing in epic proportions like Christmas!
    Cheers
