A glowing presence (did you see it?)

We were out and about most of the day yesterday, and as the sun slowly set, a strange and beautiful hue began to fill the sky.

I couldn't believe the colors I was seeing and just kept snapping away. And then I saw it.

At first I was unsure what it was and thought it was a reflection of something else, but then it began to be clear exactly what I was watching.

The pinks disappeared, only to replaced by the orange glow of the moon. One by one, passersby stopped just as I did, hoping to capture by camera just an ounce of its beauty. On the water, I noticed we weren't the only ones coming out to greet the moon.

It's these memorable moments that bring gratitude and amazement. The best part was that I was sharing this moment, quietly, with everything and everyone else around me as we all had stopped, knowing that what we were seeing was quite special.
