Weekending

• Joining Amanda, and a beautiful weekend it was:

• A new visitor, Flat Stanley, arrived from NH to visit with us for a week.

• BBQ'ed with family, making this recipe for the second time this week...

• Visited with friends and and went fishing again...

• Swimmer's ear is back!! But so is the best remedy ever: rubbing alcohol and vinegar :)

• Which meant, of course, there was no slowing down for swimming...

• Finalized plans and looking forward to rendezvous with friends here and visit E.'s best friend here.

• Watched E. play this fun little game--great for little urban planners!

• Looking forward to another week here with you all :).

• So, how was your weekend?

  3. Oh, I love that recipe! So simple, so moist, and so delicious! I made it when the husband was gone and it was so, so much cake, but I couldn't stop eating it. Eventually, I froze individual portions to keep myself from polishing off the whole cake in a weekend ;)

Your weekend looks lovely all around! Ours was quiet, with a few things marked off the to do list and plenty of down time together.

  9. looks like the warm weather has definitely arrived in Florida. I visited Tampa a few years ago and loved all the water ways and the wildlife that was there. You're so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.

  10. ooh, sounds lovely. We are enjoying the sunshine here, but it's not quite swimming outdoors weather (rarely is!!) We had a fun weekend of a visit to an historic house and garden, watching DearBoy's last rugby game of the season, then a picnic and a walk by the lake on the moors. Ending was a bit fraught, and we are struggling to recover our equilibrium (DearBoy was extremely badly behaved, it was very upsetting), but hopefully time will heal the rifts. Sounds like you've been having a great time with friends - hopefully we'll be doing some of that later this week.
