First, thank you for all the sweet blogiversary wishes yesterday. I was so touched by your words :)... Second, I would like to pay homage to Steve Jobs, a true icon and innovator that changed our lives forever. His passing is a great loss and my sympathies are with his family today.
And, I know some of you are wondering, where oh where are we choosing to move to??? Honestly, we still don't know!! And I promise I am not holding back for some blog drama!!
We were smitten with Seattle and Portland (and we do lean towards Seattle). Each of us have wonderful friends there and budding friendships that I would be thrilled to pursue. Yet, we still have a few more places we want to visit, Boulder, CO included. We have more time than we thought, which I think is causing us to recoil from rushing into a decision. We will be leasing back our home from the new owners after we close at the end of the month. They seem to be completely relaxed and are not rushing to move in. So chances are we will still be here through the holidays to spend time with our extended families :). Strangely enough, I am not worried or stressed about not knowing. I believe we will be happy wherever we go...and in an adventure regardless :).
See you tomorrow for Joy Pockets!!
xoxo
I like your attitude and the fact that you're not worried too much about not knowing exactly what's round the corner. That's one of the things that sometimes make life so exciting and great! Admittedly, this is coming from somebody who has moved more times than average... ;-) xo
ReplyDeleteI love that you are open ended about where you are going! I so wish we could be in that position right now. Portland is my vote... just because when I visit my sister, I could visit you too!
ReplyDeletecongratuletions for your anniversary... a bit delayed that one ; )
ReplyDeleteand oh! Seattle, is a favorite for me, never been there, but Tom Robbins thefavorite writer of my youth, and still, used to live there. i don`t know if he still does. but if you move to Seattle, and you accidentaly meet him, please tell him i have loved him so ; )
What an adventure! And good for you for not being too stressed about it! You're a better woman than I!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you have more time to decide where to call home and the pressure is off to pack up your home. It sounds like you are having a lot of fun checking out all the different possiblities. xx
ReplyDeleteThat's nice that you can stay put and enjoy relaxing over the holidays. A new adventure awaits you in the new year! And you're a smart woman not to get stressed out over something unknown... it would take the fun outta it!
ReplyDeleteit's so great that you guys can ease into the decision, and wait for everything to come into your lives that will help with it. i love the not rushing and being open, to either place, or even a surprise 3rd!
ReplyDeletelove your attitude! and kudos to relaxed new owners who are able to afford you more time to make the big decision.
ReplyDeleteI have to, literally HAVE to move in 3 weeks and don't know where. and I am slowly starting to freak out :)

I'm a Denverite so of course I'm going to tell you Boulder is fantastic! You've got some amazing choices, that's for sure. I don't think you'll go wrong with whatever choice you make.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely that you have time up your sleeve to decide on where you may want to go. Have fun choosing a destination. Travelling is such a wonderful food for the soul. Enjoy! Jacinta x
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see where you land, and glad to hear you have some time to decide. I think you'll love Boulder, but I do encourage you to pop over and see Ft. Collins while you're there! That little city has a piece of my heart :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have more time! Let me know if you'd like to hear more about Boulder - I promise to try to be unbiased (but I will add that it was supposed to snow there yesterday ;-).
