My cat follows me everywhere. He demands attention in the morning and in the evening, and probably anytime in between if we were home long enough to be available. The kids are in camp everyday for the next few weeks. I should say two different camps with different drop off points and different pickup times, shifting our schedules and limiting my computer time in the mornings. Funny thing about me is that once I am out, I like to stay out. Colorado mornings are so compelling, there is no where I'd rather be, and nothing I'd rather do than to be a part of it all.
So in that sense, I know I have been very absent from here and in your spaces. Yet at the same time, please know that I have also been very present, enjoying time to myself, following whim, sunshine and trails, helping entrepreneurs, hosting gatherings, soaking in some good reading, shopping for exotic chocolate, and even beginning to crochet again (an old UFO some of you may recognize)...
much love friends
xoxo
your life looks lovely my friend. absent yet present...soak it up mj, revel in it.
ReplyDeletegive your kitty a rub behind the left ear for me ;-)
Yes, revel in it. That is *exactly* what summer is for. ps...loving Kinfolk too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you that you love where you have relocated! Have fun exploring :)
ReplyDeleteWowza, look at those lovely crochet granny squares & granny circles. And, summer is exactly for sinking bare feet into earth, face up into the sun with new memories. I feel as though I haven't been as present as I'd like it, in terms of bloggyness, but my family and my heart is happy exploring beaches. It's a balance we all try to find.
ReplyDeleteThat cat is gorgeous. The cat I live with--one Roxie--says hi, and wonders why I don't put out vases of flowers for her.
ReplyDeleteI'm missing those Colorado mountains....
i do recognize that ufo - i added it to my queue after seeing it on your blog and i think it was around that time that we "met." so much has changed since then in our lives! what a year can do! i'm so happy you're enjoying your surroundings and all that it has to offer.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have found a groove and are enjoying your home. Oh, and the cat is just too cute.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are being so very present in your days, MJ! Your photos are BEAUTIFUL. I can feel (so brightly, so clearly) just now much you (all!) are loving your space and your time and your days right now. I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd your cat is a total sweetie.
Being out and about enjoying the world outside always beats the hours spent on the internet - usually! ;) I'm so glad you've been doing just that, MJ.
ReplyDeleteLove that sweet little kitty companion of yours.

Enjoy your days, they sound lovely.
ReplyDeletewhat an adorable cat. enjoy your freedom :)
ReplyDeleteI will always support the "shopping for exotic chocolate" excuse for being absent from the blogosphere. Let's be real...that excuse will hold up against anything, in my book!
ReplyDeleteyour summer sounds perfect mj. love your crochet, i'm inspired. hi pretty kitty. :)
ReplyDeleteHooray! That is the way summer should be. I like your summer reading. Have you discovered the Taproot magazine yet? If not, you should. ;) xo
ReplyDeletecheers to the "present" moments!! Life is too short the stay in front of the computer screen. Enjoy all that beauty that Mother Nature gifts us.

It is so nice to see everyone healthy and happy. Your kitty reminds me of my Cassie ... she loves to drink the flower water!!! Wonder why that is! Enjoy the summer!!! oxox
ReplyDeleteAs summer has come, I visit blogs to find people absent... and it makes me smile. smile because I know when I'm absent from my blog and yours (everyones) it usually is because I'm being more present in my life and getting more sleep. I smile in your absences!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are present in the real life rather than the virtual. it's the way we were meant to live!
ReplyDeleteLove this. I too have been absent and present. Your CO mornings sound glorious. That cat of yours is amazing. I keep telling people that cats can love too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer mornings! It's good to know when folks are absent, they are also present.
