As with all things and a winner

I haven't been sharing everything with you, mostly because I haven't been able to sit long enough to compose anything. As with all things, there were good things, and there were not so good things this past week.

Not so good:

Hubs had surgery yesterday, a micro-discectomy. Not really that uncommon, but scary enough. It is an outpatient procedure here in the States, but we were at the surgery center from 7:15am to 4:45pm. A long ass day and one groggy, hallucinating husband.

Good news:

That was the worst of it :). Surgery went well and he is on the upswing. Other good stuff included meeting this sweet blogger and her boy, Avi, for coffee the other morning. Meeting other bloggers is so good for the soul. Thanks Jules, it was such a pleasure!!  Another good thing, I am knitting again. I worked furiously yesterday while waiting for Hubs to get out of surgery. What knitting does for the nerves is better than anything other remedy I can think of :).

And I saved the best for last: the giveaway winner!!! By random.org---lucky # 7!!! Amanda from Bound from Home. Amanda, congratulations, I am thrilled for you!! Pixie will be emailing you immediately as class starts on Monday. I'll *see* you in the classroom!

Have a great weekend friends! We are in for a chilly one the next few days--SNOW!!

xoxo

  7. I'm so happy your husband's surgery went well. I hope his recovery continues to go well.

I read this about an hour ago, and when I read the winner, I needed to read it two more times, clicking on the link to make sure I read it right. The tears immediately started flowing. I needed to step away and compose myself so I didn't come off as a blubbering fool! The tears are still flowing, though. :) I can't thank you enough for this opportunity. I'm so looking forward to all the growth in the next few weeks. And to be doing this amazing work with you - such a gift! THANK YOU!!
